and more. Hana offers some of the most pristine environments in
Hawai'i, so don't miss experiencing nature in her purest form by
land, sea or air. Fees and scheduled times vary and reservations
are required.
Holoholo Maui Excursions
"Holoholo" means to travel about. On our Holoholo Excursions,
one of Hotel Hana-Maui's knowledgeable and experienced local guides
will take you on an adventure tour where you will visit many of
the famous places in the Hana area. Along the way our guides will
point out all the significant sites and share stories of Hana. You
will learn about the history of Hana, ancient Hawaiian culture and
our precious native Hawaiian environment from our expert local guides.
We provide the transportation, guide and expertise. Three different
tours are available or we can customize a private tour. Please contact
the Concierge Desk for schedules as tours and times may vary.
Discover
Hana Holoholo. "Holoholo" means to travel about.
First, you will holoholo South to the Kipahulu district, home
of the 'Ohe'o Gulch and famous "Pools of 'Ohe'o" at the Haleakala
National Park. As you "go holoholo"- our local expert guides will
point out all the significant sites and share stories of Hana
along the way. You will learn about the history of Hana, ancient
Hawaiian culture and our precious native Hawaiian eco-system.
Then you will return North to tour Hana Town, Hana Bay and historic
Ka'uiki Hill. Finally you will end your tour at the Wai'anapanapa
State Park- home of the famous Black Sand Beach and legendary
cave pool. This tour is great rain or shine! Plan for 3-4 hours.
Kipahulu
Holoholo. On this tour you will visit many of the famous places
in the beautiful Kipahulu district. First, you will visit the
historic Palapala Ho'omau Church - final resting place of famed
aviator Charles Lindbergh. Then you will travel to the scenic
Huialoha Church in Kaupo- all the way at "end of the road".
Next you will visit the Haleakala National Park and the 'Ohe'o
Gulch where you can take a dip in the "Pools of 'Ohe'o".
(Weather permitting) Then, you will return North to visit Hamoa
Beach, Hana Town, Hana Bay and historic Ka'uiki Hill. Enjoy the
breathtaking beauty of cascading waterfalls, dramatic cliffs and
sculpted valleys along the way. Plan for 3-4 hours.
Kahanu
Garden. Step back in time and experience the unspoiled
beauty of Hana and the fascinating culture and history of ancient
Hawai'i. Enjoy a private walking tour of the magnificent botanical
gardens hosted by the director of Kahanu Garden. Explore the home
of the world's largest collection of breadfruit trees and learn
about the ancient Hawaiian plants used for food, building, clothing,
medicine and religion. Set within this lush backdrop you will
discover the archeological gem of Hana: the Pi'ilanihale Heiau.
Built in phases that began as early as the 13th century, this
magnificent temple is one of the greatest engineering and construction
feats in all of Polynesia. Plan for 2-3 hours.
Kayaking
& Snorkeling
Hana Bay offers an incredible backdrop for ocean kayaking. Learn
the history of Ka'uiki Hill - one of Hawai'i's legendary locations,
steeped in tradition - as you enjoy kayaking, snorkeling and swimming.
Kayaks are easy to use and great fun for first-time paddlers as
well as non-swimmers. Snorkel in a protected cove teeming with tropical
fish and coral gardens of amazing shapes and colors. Excursions
are available daily (conditions permitting). Offered by Hana-Maui

Ka'Eleku
Cavern Tour
 Here's
an excellent adventure for the whole family. Explore the Ka'eleku
Caverns in Hana. Walking the winding trails of this ancient underground
lava tube system is fun, safe and easy. This is the only cave tour
on Maui and is located just a short ride from the hotel. Offered
by Maui Cave Tours.
Flightseeing - Maui, Hawaii Helicopter Tours
Airplane and helicopter tours are available to experience Hawai'i
from the air. Various flightseeing options are offered, including
Haleakala Crater, West Maui, Moloka'i, Hawai'i Island and Kilauea
volcano, Pearl Harbor on O'ahu and other Hawaiian Islands. Offered
by Alex Air, Sunshine Helicopters and Paragon Air.

Organic Farms
Enjoy
a very special tour of this organic farm located in beautiful Kipahulu.
Tours last about an hour and a half and include samples of many
exotic fruits and fresh organic coffee. Offered by Ono Organic Farms.
